This idea hit me and now I CAN'T WAIT! You will start your own book by decorating the cover if you like. This will become a spell book. (I hope to continue this series with Care of Magical Creatures Book and Potions Book in the near future.) Your book can be any size but be considerate when choosing. We will be paying the postage on your book. You will do a few pages in your own book before sending it on to set the feel and colors that you hope to continue throughout the book. You will complete at least 1 layout in each persons book but feel free to do more if you like. You may create in whatever style you are comfortable in. Remember to include 1) the spell, 2)how to perform it, and 3)what it does. Please do not use a spell that is already in the book. Lastly, please check your spelling for the spells. Do not just try to sound it out. Participants will be Harry Potter fans and misspelled incantations WILL be noticed. You will always send to the same person. You must be able to ship each book within 2 weeks of receiving it. We will have a group forum for checking in about sending and receiving each book. I WILL NOT tolerate flakers. If you aren't sure if you can commit then please don't. I guarantee that no one will go away empty handed from one of my swaps.

So these are spells we invent, or specific spells from Harry Potter books?

this is like creating The Standard Book of Spells that Harry would have used. The Harry Potter wiki has a list of all of them and what they do.

How many pages does it have to be? And how is it set up that you will always be sending to the same person?

Its like passing it around in a circle. the same person is always sitting next to you. Then she passes to the person next to her. Eventually it comes back to you and then we are done. Your book should have at least 20 pages. There are 10 watchers so if they all join and each do a page or so that should give you a couple to do at the end too.

So are we sticking to the list on the wiki list for this swap? And if so can you include the link? I couldn't find the list. Sounds like it could be a fun swap.

@juliewasson does that mean we always get the books that all our partners get? so the first round, we would send to our partners and after they are done with it, they would send it to their partner, so on and so forth? sorry, i'm new to FB's and such stuff. but it sounds like fun!!

You will always send to the same person and eventually it will come back to you. You will mail a book every 2 weeks. The length of time your journal is away depends on how many people join the swap.

Sorry I'm not joining I just think I don't have the time right now. It was a hard decision. It sounds like a fun Idea. I'd be happier to Join one after Christmas when I get to work less agian
