Description:

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make two jounaletters for one partner. This swap is in two parts, as the next thing you'll be doing is using the journaletters you receive to write letters for two partners.

What is a journaletter? Take a look at the etsy store owned by hollycm6. It's here. As you can see, a journaletter is a self-mailer. Basically, you would find a pretty piece of paper (a page from a magazine, or some scrapbooking paper, for example) and then fold it to form a cover. Make sure that one page of the cover is longer than the other, so that you can fold a flap over the back. That will be stuck down with glue or double-sided tape, to close the letter.

Then you add writing paper to write a letter on. You don't need to sew them into the cover as hollycm6 has. You could probably use double-sided tape or staples. The end result is a little booklet to write it.

Don't seal the journaletters yet! Send two of them to your partner so that they can be used for the second part of the swap (which will be announced later). I'll try and come up with some kind of step-by-step tutorial for making a journaletter in a day or so. But for now, just look at the pictures in hollycm6's etsy store for a general idea of how to make them.

Any questions, ask me! To recap: make two jounaletters for one partner. I'd say that a finished size of A6 (A5 folded) would be a reasonable size for the cover, with the pages being slightly smaller. And put in around 5 sheets of paper to write on.

Anyway, have fun with it!

OK today I bought some A5 excercise books. Can I use one of these and glue the cover?
