  • new
  • store-bought (no freecards!)
  • not damaged
  • not yellowed or stained or otherwise not pristine
  • something you would like to receive yourself
  • sent in an envelope (securely)

You might want to check out your partners profile for preferences for what and what not to send. The swap remains sender's choice though!

To participate you have to have a rating of at least 4.8 and no 'no send's in the last three months. Newbies are welcome as long as the profile is filled in properly.

Hi, I am new to this group and am a little confused about postcards with envies. Does with envies mean 5 blank postcards sent in one envie or 5 blank postcards with a matching envie for each postcard sent out in an envie to the partner? ? Sorry, I cannot figure out something so seemingly simple. Thanks

evieroz 09/20/2010 #

Hi Bluelily, it means 5 postcards all sent in just one envelope.

evieroz 09/20/2010 #

And they should only need one 44 cent stamp on it unless it is international, then it is 75 cents for canada and 98 cents for the other internationals.

@Bluelily -> As @evieroz said, it means 5 postcards all in just one envelope. Thanks!

Bluelily 09/20/2010 #

Thank you everyone. I understand now.

Do the postcards all need to be different?

superglinda 09/23/2010 #

@Bluelily Yes, the postcards all need to be different. Otherwise people would feel cheated. Wouldn't you?

Bluelily 09/23/2010 #

I wouldn't want anyone to feel cheated. I am just new in the postcard swapping world. I had bought a beautiful set of postcards from an Etsy artist and didn't know if postcard folks were always looking for different cards for their collections or if they were sometimes looking to send out blank ones they had received to other partners. Thank you for the clarification.
