Description:

Do you like comics? Do you make comics? Have you ever wanted to make a comic?

NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE COMICS!!

But a comic is not just pictures, it is also a story..

each person will have 2 partners. that means you will write 2 stories (or the same story twice, if you wish). You will send me your stories via email [email protected] ...please address email title under "swapbot comic story" then when partners are assigned i will send everyone their stories. when you get 2 stories from me you will draw them into comics!! send your finished comics to your assigned partners (1 comic per partner)

Your comics can be about anything. Be creative. This can be lots of fun! Maybe you want to write a fictional story, or a biographic story... like "wizard, dragons, ice cream, bike rides, midnight, sex, ghost, dreaming, laughing, travelogue, daily life, sex history, school days, dreams, relationships, gender struggle, racial issues"

"Arn't all comics about superheros??" Not at all! Stuck for ideas on what to write about? Check out these comic guys: Jeffrey Lewis, Alec Longstreth, Jeffrey Brown, Joey Alison Sayers, Harvey Pekar, Robert Crumb

BASIC RULES/GUIDE.. Your comic should be at the very least 1 side of A4. That's about the size of home printer paper. More pages are fun but not always necessary. Your story should be no more than 2 pages. you can write a lot on 2 pieces of paper. If i've learnt anything from making comics it's that a comic story can be told on one page or explained deeper in say, 10 pages. Use pencil or ink, or make it on your computer. make it on colour card paper, thick white paper, anything! make it in colouring pens, keep it black and white.. .it doesn't have to be the binary standard comic, make it how you wish to. You can change the story a little if you wish, add parts to it, just keep the core of the story the same. In short, be creative! There are no boundaries.

Please make sure your writing is easy to read. hence, you may want to make it on the computer, or edit it on there. if you got those kind of skills!

newbies welcome. IF YOU SEND YOUR PARTNERS MORE THAN 1 COMIC YOU WILL ROCK THEIR WORLD!!! maybe you want to throw in another comic you made? i'll be over the moon if i get a couple comics from people!

Please contact me with any questions, suggestions and so on :-) messaging me privately or email is best [email protected]

I've given a very long time for this swap. comics can take a long time to make them perfect and most of us have busy lives.

perhaps it is good if you send a message to the person who is hosting the swap and asking them.
