USA ONLY!!! I don't think a swap like this one has ever been done here on swap-bot before, but let's see how this one goes and I might host more like this:))) This swap is for Crocheters only....no knitters this time...SORRY!!! You will send one 7" basic traditional granny square to each person that signs up. Each granny must be made using the basic traditional granny square pattern which can be found HERE Also, you MUST use a 4-ply worsted weight yarn and must use a different color yarn for each round so that each granny will have a rainbow of colors:) So, according to this pattern, each granny should have 5 rounds (depending on how tight or loosely you crochet. You could end up with more or less rounds, just depends on how you crochet:) So for 5 rounds you will be choosing 5 different colors for each granny. These rainbow grannies make such BEAUTIFUL ghans!!! Please measure your squares accurately and make sure that they are no more than 1/8-1/4 of an inch of 7 inches! The maximum number of partners you will send to is 9. If more than 10 people sign up, you will still only send to 9 partners. But, on the other hand, if 6 people sign up, you will send to 5 partners....get it??? When I assign partners I will change the number of partners according to how many people sign up for this swap. This is a 2 month swap, so you will have until January 14 to get your grannies mailed:) Newbies with a well filled out profile are welcome to join in the fun:) All others must have a 4.9 rating with no 1 or 3 ratings within the past 3 months. If by some chance you get flaked on this swap, I will gladly angel for you, but if you flake I will shout it from the highest mountain top!!!

Wow, this sounds really cool... but I'm not sure I want to sign up for an open-ended number of grannies. My carpal tunnels are acting up from all the grannies I've made LOL!

MIght be better if you limit the squares to perhaps 2 sqaures to go to two different folks for a total of 4 squares. Jjust a suggestion. I won't sign up for a swap that ahnges the number of folks you send to after it closes. Have limited stamps to send these swaps out.

Such a great idea. I hope I'll be ready for something like this next year. By the way, if 10 people sign up, you'll send out 9 grannies, not 10, because you're not sending to yourself.

Awww Smudge.....I am so sorry!!! Since postage will be so costly to send so many packages internationally, I thought it would be better to keep this one USA:) If you would like to host an international version please feel free to do so:)))

@MorahLaura ..you have a point! I edited the details and changed the total number of partners we will have. The most you will have to send is to 9 partners. If more than 10 people sign up for this swap, the number of partners will still remain at 10:)

BTW.....Swap, thanks for pointing out my mistake on sending to 10 partners....duh! You are so right:)))

Just a suggestion - why not just have us send one square to each person who signs up. Since we know each row has to be different we can start them now. I absolutely love grannies so the more the merrier. My nursing home residents will love them. Jenny N
