DEC: The ZMACS Etsy promo swap

Swap description: the ZMACS Etsy promo swap
Inspired by @MissThundercat 's recent call for contributions to a goody bag to give away at her next craft fair, this swap is for any members of ZMACS who have their own Etsy/Artfire/Dawanda/etc store and/or sell items through their blog or other online store.

You will send your partner 5 business cards plus 5 small promo samples giving an idea of the kind of thing you sell. Promo items could be a mini-zine, a handmade postcard or greeting card, a button, a cellphone charm, mailing labels - anything that is easy for you to make multiples of, but is still a good representation of the kind of things you sell. The items are not for your partner to sell. Instead they will give them away with their Etsy orders, or at craft fairs, or as a blog giveaway (whatever works best for them) as a free promotion for your store. Items do not need to be zine or mail art-related, but as we are all fans of such things, there is a good chance we will share a similar market and be able to introduce somebody to some cool new stuff that they will enjoy.

In addition to the promos, you will send one larger item that you would normally sell in your store for $5 or more. This is an extra gift for your partner, as a thank you for distributing your promos!

I may run this swap again in the future. Please comment below if you would prefer any different swap criteria (e.g. more/less partners, greater quantity of promo items etc) and I will bear it in mind for next time. I will not be changing any of the requirements for this particular swap, though!

Swap requirements

• Please link to your online store in your profile
• Your store must sell handmade items rather than supplies
• 3 partners = 3 promo packs sent & 3 promo packs received
• Send each partner 5 business cards attached to 5 small promo items
• Make sure promo items are small/lightweight so that your partner does not have to increase their shipping costs to mail them on
• Please make sure your business card will not be separated from its promo item. It's up to you to find a way that works best for your item - include card & item in a cello bag, use card as a hang tag for a cell phone charm, staple your card to your item etc. You don't want the eventual recipient to be wondering who made your awesome creation, you want them to know who you are so they can come & buy more!
• In addition to the 5 promo items described above, send one larger item (available in your store for a minimum of $5) to each partner, for them to keep for themselves
• Send on time!

The obvious bit
As well as meeting requirements as outlined on group homepage participants must have no late swaps on their dashboard, no 3 ratings in the last 3 months, and no 1 ratings in the last 12 months. I will check before assigning partners, so please contact me if you are concerned. I will take extenuating circumstances into account, but the happy swapping of the majority is the most important factor.
