Picture is Frowning Francis Folk Art's Mermaid on a Stick pattern For this swap, you will create one art doll representing a mermaid or merman for one partner. You can use a pattern or make up something! You can use whatever medium or mixes of medium you specialize in, but this is for a 3D work of art, so no paper dolls, please. You are welcome to use paper as a component, but your completed piece should not be a flat paper doll. Size:at least 5 inches-this is a good display size and probably will fit in a small bubble mailer or a small flat rate box, depending on how it's made, so the postage would not be horrible. Of course, you can make it as large as you'd like! Some ideas: fabric, beads, papier mache, assemblage, altered barbie, clay, or any mix. Senders choice on what character, colors, etc, so you can start immediately, before partners are assigned. Please stay within the mermaid or merman theme. The send date is not until after the holiday madness, so it is something that can be worked on at odd moments in the next month or so. Within those parameters, create an art doll you would be proud to display and that you would love someone else to display in their collection. Group rules apply, and I reserve the right to ban if I feel there might be issues. |
