Description:

I love food and learning about the different God and Goddess around the world so I thought it would be fun to make a cookbook of recipes related to different Greek and Roman Gods and Goddess. For the swap choose one of the Greek or Roman Gods or Goddess whose name starts with the letter “A” and find a recipe that uses one of the foods that they are associated with. Put the recipe and a few lines about the deity that you have chosen on an 81/2x11 piece of paper (standard copy paper size) and decorate the sheet in a way that would be pleasing to that Deity, An example would be an apple tart for Aphrodite with the sheet decorated with apple blossoms and sea shells or an illustration of the Goddess Aphrodite in all her glory. Be creative and have fun with the art. This can be done on the computer or by hand. The recipe does not have to be of your creation or a classical recipe but please tell where or who you got the recipe from. If you do use a classical recipe, please, make sure all the ingredients are safe to eat or give logical substations. Make it a food you would want to try. Have fun, be creative and make your partner something you would hate to have to give up because it’s that nice. I hope for this to be the start of a series of recipes because I already know what party boy I want to do for the letter ”B”. I am giving us all plenty of time because of the holidays. You can get started early because it is not a swap dependent on your partner.

Requirements:

  1. Pick a God or Goddess whose name starts with the letter “A” and find a food that is associated with them.

  2. Find a modern or classic recipe that use that food as one of its ingredients ( don’t for get to give credit where credit is due and if a classical recipe that is safe to eat)

  3. Put a few lines about your God or Goddess and the recipe on a 81/2x11 sheet of paper ( Standard copy paper size)

  4. Decorate the paper in a way that relates to your deity

  5. Sign on the back or include a note with the name of the swap and who sent it so your partner can rate you.
