Set your inner hippie free and handknit/ crochet or sew a mini amulet pouch and fill with 3 tiny items for a partner. Please check your partner's profile for color/ yarn choices and ideas of what to fill the pouch with: Maybe a small turquoise or hematite stone, incense cone, small candy, picture, sticker, acorn, etc.--small and inexpensive (hopefully under $3-5) since these pouches are quick to knit and lightweight, I'm making this swap international. See basic pattern below: Using size 2 needles, cast on 30 stitches. Join in the round and purl first 2-3 rows. interchanging colors, knit about 17 rows of your pouch. Finish off by purling two rounds and casting off the last round in purl. Whipstitch the bottom to close and weave in the ends where you changed colors. Cut 3 long strands of yarn (30 to 40 inches) and braid or knit an I-cord for the neckstrap. knot the strap at the sides of the pouch to secure. you may also add beads or other items to your pouch. You're also welcome to sew or craft a pouch from different materials. Just make sure to check partner's profile for allergies, etc. Newbies are very welcome but I will ban any swappers with a no-send in their ratings. |
