EDITED: Twisted Kids' Valentine's, ATC size

You know the box of small Valentine’s cards you can buy for children to pass out to their class in school? That’s the idea behind this swap, but with a twist: forget cute and fuzzy, let’s think dark and twisted. This is Nightmares and Fairy Tales, after all!

Let’s talk details:

• 2 partners, 6 Valentine’s for each partner (12 Valentine’s total).
• Dimensions: ATC-size cards, 2 1/2” x 3 1/2”.
• Make sure your cards are sturdy, cardstock base or thicker.
• Open to all mediums: hand-drawn, collaged, stamped, painted, etc.
• Open to interpretation of “twisted” theme: we’re not going for sweet and heartwarming, we’re going for dark and skewed! Examples would be a typical Valentine’s message, warped to show a darker side, or darkly-themed images of love.
• Make at least 2 different designs to send each partner (3 of each of your chosen 2 designs per partner), more if you wish. You may want to keep your designs fairly simple so that you can easily reproduce 12 cards. A simple design does not mean a half-hearted effort. Please, send what you would love to receive. Quality work.
• Include a “To” and “From” section so we may pass our dark-little creations on to a loved one, er, or not-so-loved one, depending. Feel free to add this to the front or back of the cards, your choice.
• Nudity is fine, but not pornography.
• Sign your work!
• This is sender’s choice, so you may start right away, if you’re so inclined.
