Private swap with sleepingrover2010

I thought it would be fun to do a swap with each other that will take us the best part of the year.

We seem to have similar interests but totally different lives and on opposite side of the world.

So this is how I thought it would work-

  1. Buy and 1A5 exercise book (that’s one that’s unruled, soft cover, 40leaves/80pages, 8x10 inches.)

  2. Decorated the cover however you wish.

  3. Make a title page.

  4. Then for the remainder of the year fill the book however you wish.

  5. You have until December to fill it up.

  6. When it if full wrap it in pretty paper, pop it into and envelope and post to arrive in time for Christmas.

  7. Open only the envelope, no further, DO NOT OPEN any further, now put under the tree.

  8. Let your partner know it has arrived but leave rating until you have read the book as you may wish to comment on the contents.

  9. ONLY OPEN when all the rush and bustle of Christmas Day is over, it may be Christmas night, it may be Boxing day, but you must give yourself plenty of time, sit or lie down, have a glass or wine, mug of coffer or cup of tea or a long cold drink by your side.

  10. NOW OPEN, relax and enjoy.

It could be quotes, favourite poems you have found or written, a great pattern you have found and made, photos you wish to share, life instances-funny or sad, recipes to swap, a short story it is all up to you. Whatever you think the other person would like or you wish to share. If the book gets too thick you may need to remove some of the middle pages, it will depend if you are printing and gluing in or writing direct onto the pages and how much other stuff you glue in.

This is not a journal as such just a sharing of your year with me and I with you :-)
