Description:

I love PC's and of course I join most of the PC swaps on here. I collect them & sometimes I don't want to part with unwritten ones I get (though I prefer naked & stamped, but I am not choosy) So I thought of this swap.

There will be 2 partners, and you will send 4 PC's to each, meaning 2 sets of duplicates, that way you are able to keep one of them & be able to send the other. That makes 8 cards total to both partners. PC's are senders choice, and can be anything (scenery, animals, touristy, state, map, counrty, etc) Please send them unwritten and in an envie. If you receive 4 PC's-2 sets- then please rate a 5, if you get something extra, maybe you can give a heart.

Newbies are welcome, as long as you have a well filled out profile. PLEASE NO RECENT 3's OR 1's. Must have 4.98 or higher to join this swap, I will check profiles. Thank you

So we send four postcards total to each person? Or do we send 2 each of four cards making the total 8 to each person? Sorry - that was a little confusing. Thanks!

we can send any postcards senders choice so we have 2 partners ... that we send 4 postcards 2? total 8 postcards? bummer im just below the rateings ...

I don't get the part about having 1 set left for yourself. This has kept me out of all these swaps. Does this assume we send things we have 3 of--1to 1 partner, 1 to the other, 1 to keep? Thanks.

OK, here's another way of understanding it:

Imagine you have 1 partner. You should choose 2 different postcards for them (postcard A + postcard B). But instead of sending 1 of each, you send them 2 of each. Keep them blank and send them in an envelope. Add a note. Therefore:

  • Partner 1 receives:

Postcard A + Postcard A

&

Postcard B + Postcard B

= 4 postcards

..............................AND..............................

  • Partner 2 receives:

Postcard A + Postcard A

&

Postcard B + Postcard B

= 4 postcards

..............................THEREFORE..............................

The total amount of PCs to purchase is 8. Each partner gets half each (4).

Does that make sense?

..............................THE END..............................

@chrissy32 > There is no set left for yourself. (Unless you buy yourself another set of 4!) The "1 for yourself" just means, when you send (2 x postcard A), your partner can use 1 of them to send to someone, and keep the other 1 in their collection, if they want to. As each partner is receiving a set of (2 x postcard A) + (2 x postcard B), they'll actually be receiving 4 postcards in total. If they use 1 of each postcard for future swaps, they can still keep 1 of each for themselves if they really like the postcards they get in the swap. If they don't like it so much, they can use all of them and keep none. Totally up to them. It just means that if they really like what they get and can't decide whether they want to write on it or keep it for themselves, they get to do both! :)

@chrissy32 > Actually, an even easier way to think of it is:

  1. Select 2 different postcards in a store, Postcard A and Postcard B.

  2. Buy 4 copies of each of them.

  3. Get 2 envelopes because you have 2 partners.

  4. Put (2 x Postcard A) and (2 x Postcard B) in the first envelope. Do the same with the second envelope.

  5. Add a note (incl swap title + your swap-bot user name) to each envelope. Address and send.

The goal of this swap is to send 2 copies of 2 postards so your recipient can keep one of each and use one of each.

I got it! In your 2nd paragraph, if you change "you" to "they," it makes sense. Thanks!
