This swap is for those who signed up for the Gypsy Dotee Doll swap. Our hostess has become ill and hasn't been on in awhile. This is for a gypsy theme, doll must be 4 - 6 inches, hanger, tail, no legs or arms. If you aren't sure about dotee's ..google it or ck out youtube. They are super simple .. just embelish with trinkets, ribbons, lace, beads .. just have fun and be creative. REMEMBER .. if you sign up for this swap, please remove yourself from the first Gypsy Dotee Swap. I don't want Jennie to assign partners and then someone not receive a doll. My doll is made and she's so excited to see where her new home will be .... So, ready ... set .. sign up and let's swap!

My swap is still happening, I assigned partners with the people left. It would have been nice if you had waited for a response since you only messaged me yesterday. I know you are still very new and still learning the ropes but waiting a day or two for a response instead of plowing ahead with my idea really isn't cool. Especially when there is info on my profile about my being sick etc.. but it also says that all swaps will happen right there in black and white. A second swap really wasn't needed although I do understand that you were trying to help me and be kind so while I am less than thrilled with the situation I am not judging you as an individual. I do recommend in future that if you want to so something like this give the person more than a day to respond and to check their profile to see if there is any info on it like mine that says all swaps will go ahead and get done. Jennie - I apologize again. Your private message to me suggested I stole your idea .. I was only trying to help. I wrote you several messages and didn't hear back. As you can see by the comments on this swap and yours, everyone was wishing you the best. No one was upset with you for not assigning partners immediately. I am new to swapping, but I'm not new to friendships and I appreciate help when I'm having a tough time. That is all that was intended. Glad you are feeling better.

prettypinkpins and I have been able to talk this out and become better friends for it. I an just letting people know so they don't have to feel uncomfortable no matter which swap you are. So have fun making those dotees!

Well here goes! I'm starting my Dotee doll tonight tho I don't have a gypsy looking fabric here. It was -43 today so I don't want to run all over town trying to find some vintage fabric so I'm off to my craft room to figure something out! I'm thinking a cool scarf may work great. Now, do i own a scarf anymore. How funny b/c I used to work at a fabric store years ago and had mondo boxes of every kind of fabric under the sun!!! Have fun ya all!
