Description:

Ever notice how at the beginning of the year we try to organize and start fresh? Notice how much extra yarn you've accumulated over the past year? I can answer YES to both. How about you?

If you love cotton yarn but seem to have more yarn than projects, this is your swap. I will be checking for full profiles, a minimum rating of 4.8 and newbies are welcome with a full profile but you need to contact me first. The goal is no flakers!

You will have 1 partner and you will send 2 balls of cotton yarn, any color, weighing at least 50 grams. Whatever color you send is up to you. Solid, variegated, whatever. It would be nice, but is not mandatory, if you sent your partner a color they prefer (hopefully mentioned in their profile).

Since this is an easy swap, you will have just over a week to get your package in the mail after partners are assigned. PLEASE remember to include a note so your partner knows who sent the package, which swap it's for and it makes rating your partner so much easier.

Because it'll be a bulky (but not heavy) package and custom forms are not fun (sorry but they aren't!), this will be a US ONLY swap.

Please leave comments or PM me.

Happy Swapping!

LOL I just sorted through the yarn in my crafty area and moved the non-essential skeins to my yarn area...and while sorting it all out found even MORE cotton yarn... I am so in!

Oh you sound like me! I use it for washcloths & towels but in cold weather make bigger things and just thought there are a lot of us who might want to de-stash some of it! Welcome!

Just to be clear....are we talking kitchen cotton or nicer cotton (like Sublime, Rowan, etc)

I just want to be sure to send what's appropriate

Oh just regular cotton like Sugar N Cream however if you have nicer cotton you want to de-stash that's fine, too. But we're not talking the expensive stuff. Any kind of cotton yarn.

I am not in the USA but would love to receive any excess yarn in a swap for other items if anyone is interested!!!!

Whew! Almost missed the signup deadline due to Internet problems. Can one or both be already rolled in a ball (none used), or is this just for still-in-wrapper skeins? My stash is full of both. LOL!

As long as it is 50g I don't think that's a problem as long as it's new. Ask your partner first, though.

Hey gang, beside yarn like Sugar N Cream, what are other good cotton yarns for towels and pot-holders/trivets? Anything more "heat resistant"? Or just double up for extra thickness?
