Description:

I love to travel, and I love to talk about places I've been as well as hear about places others have been. (I can talk for hours about Cambodia)

For each monthly themed swap, you'll have 2 partners and send each of them a postcard with a note about a place you've been that follows the monthly theme. Use the questions that follow as a guideline for your note. THIS IS A WRITING SWAP!

March's Theme is: LEAP INTO SPRING

When does spring arrive in your home town? Are there any special events that happen to celebrate the coming of spring? Where do you like to go to see the signs of spring arriving? (Write as much as you can fit on the back of the postcard about this place.)

Write the Swap Name (Places I've Been -March2011), Swap Theme (LEAP INTO SPRING) and Your Name & Swap Name VERY CLEARLY on the postcard.

The postcards can be handmade or store-bought. It's usually best to check your partners' preferences 1st! Please DON'T glue a picture on a piece of cardboard and call it a postcard, though! (edited for clarification on 27 March 11: cutting and pasting a magazine cut-out picture is not acceptable. However, using your own photographs is totally acceptable!)

If you have a postcard of the "place you've been", that's fantastic, but it does NOT have to be. ONLY the message must be written about the place.

This swap is international, and is open to all, You may be banned if you have really bad recent ratings, if you have any no-sends in this series of swaps, if you have failed to meet the swap requirements in this series of swaps, or are just plain questionable.

You must have logged in to Swap-Bot at least 2 days prior to the sign up date, or you will be dropped from the swap before partners are assigned. AND, you must have a completely filled out profile that indicates your likes, dislikes, preferences, hobbies, interests, swapping favorites, etc.

Happy travels!

As always, if you have any other ideas for monthly travel themes, please share them. I will gladly use your ideas on upcoming swaps!

DISCLAIMER: This swap is intended to be a writing experience. If you fail to adequately write about this month's theme, your partner may rate you a 3 for not meeting the swap requirements. Please read the theme questions carefully.

I don't know if I've been missing part of your instructions or not and i get a mixed message here -- you say the post card and be purchased or home made. Then you say, don't glue a photo on a a piece of cardboard and call it a postcard. One thing I've liked about this series of postcard swaps is being able to use photos of places I've been that fit the theme and I do that by putting backing on a photo and then writing. No one has complained. If this is not to be done, then I'll have to stop doing these swaps because I really enjoy sharing places I've been and I don't stock up on postcards when I travel. Please clarify. Preferably before I send out this swap in a few days.

Oh my! I'm so sorry for the confusion, @junemoon

I will clarify: What I mean is that cutting and pasting a magazine cut-out picture is not acceptable. Using your own photographs is totally acceptable!
