What Pagan doesn't love Beltane?! I just love the energy of Beltane, it's so vibrant and fertile :) So here's a Beltane swap for all of us to celebrate :)

Choose a God and a Goddess whom you feel are special to you at Beltane. Deities associated with fertility are especially relevant at this time, for example:

• Pan
• Cernunnos
• Jack-in-the-Green, or the Green Man
• Sheila-na-Gig
• Artemis

There is a really good page all about Beltane, symbols, colours, deities etc here if you need some inspiration :)

Now you have chosen your God and Goddess, create a representation of Them for your partner's Beltane altar. This does not have to be a brilliantly artistic statue or anything (although it can be if you are able to make them - but just to warn my partner, I'm not! LOL!) You can draw, paint, use Fimo or Sculpey, use natural items such as shells, stones etc, but create something which represents the deities you've chosen. Include a note to your partner explaining why you chose the deities you did, and how your items represent Them. So do a little research into the deities of your choice to help you. For example:

• Make a polymer clay Green Man
• A crescent moon represents Cybele or Artemis
• Make horns for Cernunnos
• Laurel wreath or sun for Apollo

You get the idea :) Make it with love and imbue it with energy, ready for your partner's Beltane altar. )0(
