Description:

This is the fourth installation of what will be a 6-part series. If you participate in all six swaps, you will eventually have a 36" x 36" friendship blanket! Great to throw over a couch or display somewhere proudly :)

The rules: Crochet or knit six 6"x6" squares and send them to one partner. They can be of ANY color (feel free to check out your partner's profile and use colors they enjoy)..other than that, there really are no specifications. Use the type of yarn you like...just make sure it is a standard granny square style.

Please rate your partner! There's nothing worse than putting time and effort into a project and not getting a response. Rate a 5 if they sent six granny squares..regardless if you like the colors. Rate a 3 if they sent something completely different..the size is vastly different or the style is not a granny square. Rate a 1 if they did not send anything and did not respond to your messages.

One more thing- please check back on my profile when you are done sending out this swap, if you'd like to join the fifth installation of this project.

My goal is to start the next one as soon as we're finished with the preceding one...in an effort to get all six swaps done within a nice time frame!

Please, no flakers! I'm willing to angel the swap if need be, but I'm hoping everyone commits to this.

Is it possible to knit a standard granny style square? Aren't they crocheted by default (clusters of double crochet) or can you do any square as long is it is 6" x 6"?

king, I've seen knitted granny squares, and they don't look like crochet, true, with clusters of crochet. I wanted to leave this open to both knitters and crocheters, since both make granny squares.

I dont think any knitters have joined, though..from what I've heard, most have gotten crocheted granny squares.

Do the grannies need to be done in the standard granny pattern or can they be any pattern as long as they are 6"x6"? I'd love to make something different than the typical granny square, guess I am bored:)

@scarlett1110 if you happen to get me, I don't mind a different pattern. I know a lot of people in the swap want the traditional one, though. Ask whoever you get assigned to; they may like a change too. :)

I'm not very picky, I'm going to make a blanket just for myself, been crocheting off and on since 1990 never made one just for me..but I will make one all out of swapbot squares..whatever variation you send as long as its 6inches or close to it. Be creative, be simple...doesn't matter to me, I appreciate all of your effort, I'm happy just to share and be shared with. Thank you.
