Encyclopedia Brown Goes Downtown (new)

Famous child detective Encycolpedia Brown is hot on the trail of a shoplifter in a new case he's helping his father solve. You will help him solve the case, too, by going to your local mall and doing some detective work of your own. You must find three things, and the total cost MUST be under $5. (after all, Encyclopedia is just a kid, without much money!)

Item one: Something with words on it (the 'Encyclopedia') Item two: Something brown (the 'Brown') Item three: Something unexpected (the 'mystery!')

When all three of these things have been found, the shoplifter will have been thwarted! Now, take your receipts and make a little collage from them (or bits of them) on a handmade postcard or notecard. On one side (or both, if you tend to be verbiose!) send a message to your partner, explaining the items you have purchased.

But don't send it yet!! We MUST keep the dangerous shoplifters from reading your message... to do this, cut your card into puzzle pieces...Upon receiving the items, Encyclopedia will surely help your partner reassemble the puzzle letter, and solve the mystery.
