Description:

Thanks to @JessieTea for letting me borrow this idea.

EDITED April 26: Only one partner each for this swap.

This swap is inspired by "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" in which the main character, Charlie, writes letters to an unknown person as if he were his diary. He finds comfort in the fact he can tell someone about everything and he has someone to let it all out to. It will hopefully be therapeutic.

This is a swap for group members. You will be writing a diary letter "to" you partner. It would be a good idea to change names and other details just in case. Please make it substantial; it is in your best interest to let it all out.

I also think it would be nice to allow this to be ongoing, as in a person can continue writing letters to their partner as long as they would like. If you do not want people sending more than one letter to you, please comment so on the swap.

Also, if you would like to ask for any advice, that would be allowed, but responses are not required so you may not receive one even if you ask. It would be great for these relationships to continue but that is not the main goal of this swap so do not be disappointed if you do not get a response.

Please rate a 5 if get you a diary letter. If you get extra's or extra effort was put into your package, please give a heart.

If you are going to be late, please contact your partner.

How long should we keep this diary letter going on, for one week? Or one day?

I have to confess that I do not understand this swap. Am I supposed to write eclusively about m yday, i.e. I got up, had a shower, went to work... that kind of thing?

Sorry for the typos, I wish we could edit our comments! :-)

I am not hosting this swap but as it is based on mine I'll answer these questions. @mentalistfan78 You can keep it going as long as you'd like or just sit down and write a letter about your past week/month/year. There isn't really a structure to follow, just vent things or retell stories to let it all out. I find that sitting down and writing out events your confused about or your feelings helps you understand them much better and lets you see things much more clearly. @cathepsut You can kind of do it however you want. As I said, you can write your feelings, events, or just write about yourself. You could even just have it be a stream of consciousness (aka just keep writing about anything without stopping for a certain amount of time). It really is about being heard and being able to work through confusing feelings and events, so whatever works best for you should be alright!
