Description:

Now that the weather is warmer, the Farmer's Markets have open up around here. One of my favorite things at my local market, is the handmade soap guy. I love all the different smells, and this is the only kind of soap my family uses.

For this swap, you will send one partner one bar of handmade soap. I think the bars I get are around the same size as a standard bar of soap...3 x 4 or so. Bars only, no molded or decorative soaps.

While you can post your preferences for scent, etc, this will be senders choice.

Rating on 4.8 or higher. No recent and/or unexplained 1s or 3s. Absolutely NO flakers!

Hi! I have no rating as I have not done any swaps, so I don't know if I qualify, but I signed up anyway. I too, looooove delicious smelling soap and have a supply of handmade soaps from all sorts of interesting places. I am privy to my own shipping department as I live and work in the same place, a 220 acre non-profit arts foundation. My mailing skills and follow through are pro! Thanks! Kaila

I'm tempted to join this one. I make soaps. I was wondering if you could post a weight on what you expect the soaps to be as most of mine range from 3-4 ounces. (Which should be standard full sized bar.) But aren't always all the same height. I work with many different molds when I make my soap and some are shorter but thicker while others are taller while thinner.

Also you said no molded soaps? Do you mean guest sized ones or are ones like this http://i27.servimg.com/u/f27/16/27/77/84/cpcher10.jpg not allowed either? This one is a 3-4 ounce bar which is considered a full sized bar.

My other thing I'm wondering about is that I'm going to be out of town on and off for the summer. So whom ever I got as a swap partner might need to know that I might be slow to rate. If you think that's not a problem I'll most likely join.

Thanks.

Hi Ratissia! By molded or decorative, I mean the guest ones. Sometimes, I get my son soap in the shape of army men, and those only last one shower. The bars you show in the picture would be fine. As far as size...Yes, I think 3-4 ounces is a standard sized bar. I hope that help, and I would love to have you join!
