Let's use our hands to make a heart.... For this swap you will have 1 partner. To that partner you will send a heart (or series of hearts) that you have hand-embroidered on a single piece of fabric. Don't make the fabric into anything--your partner may want to incorporate it into a quilt or work it into another project. I like flat-envelope swaps, so you can make it small enough to fit inside a standard envelope that can be mailed with a single stamp. I don't want to set a hard-and-fast measurement for size, but card-sized envelopes are often 5 x 7 inches, so you can think along those lines. Though red and pink are traditional colors for hearts, any color goes for this swap! All styles and experience levels are welcome. You can incorporate other imagery into your embroidered piece as well, if you want; just make sure that a heart or hearts are promiment. Other details: 1) No newbies for this one (sorry), but there's still time to get some ratings before sign-ups close. 2) Swappers with a rating below 4.85 will be dropped before partners are assigned. 3) To honor the boundlessness of good-will and needlework, this is an international swap! Have I left anything out? Please let me know if you have questions.... |
