Description:

This swap is for all of us who want to expand our repertoire of healthy recipes. I have about 4 things I cook regularly, and I am getting mighty bored of them! So I thought I'd host a swap (my first!) so get some inspiration. This is a very straightforward email swap. You will send one recipe to each of your 10 partners. Here are the rules though... 1. The recipe should be something you have cooked (and enjoyed, preferably!) yourself. It does NOT have to be a recipe of your own design. You are welcome to send an email link to an online recipe - just make sure the link works, and is available for everyone in any country to view without having to register or log in. If in doubt, copy and paste the recipe into your email. 2. The recipe should be healthy! Low fat etc. I do not expect to see double cream as an ingredient! 3. Please try not to use specific brand name products in your recipe without explaining what they actually are - this is an international swap, and your partner may not have a clue what you're on about. I only say this because I have a New Zealand recipe book which calls for something like 'Very Berry Cranberry Cans' - I don't know is this is a puree, or whole berries, or what. Hope this bit makes sense. 4. Please send your emails using Blind Carbon Copy to avoid everyones email addresses showing up.

There are no rules as to what the recipes should be for, except that they must be healthy. So you can send a main course recipe, or a pudding, or even a cake, if you can find a healthy one! The recipe is SENDERS CHOICE obviously. Please rate a 5 if you receive a recipe on time, regardless of whether you like the ingredients or not. This is why I have set 10 partners - even if you're a pretty fussy eater you should still receive a few that you can work with!

Please feel free to elaborate on your recipe - let your partners know where you got it from, how long you have been cooking it, what tweaks you make to it etc. It's always nice to add some personality to an email swap, rather than sending just the bare bones of what is asked for.

Newbies are welcome to this swap - please fill out your profile in full first though. Minimum rating is 4.5, but no recent no-sends. I will ban anyone that looks dodgy - there will be no flakers on this swap - right?!

If you would like to see a vegetarian version of this swap, please let me know, either by pm or by commenting below. If it is successful I may well do some more in the future. Any other questions - fire away!

Just casting my vote for a vegetarian version!

Also, it might be neat to explain the 'healthy' features of the recipe you're sending, because we might have different ideas of healthy....good fats vs bad fats etc.
