Description:

I love reading, but I'm wayyy too busy to read a whole novel. I can barely finish a novella. That's how I got into reading short stories. Nice, manageable bite-sized pieces of literature. There is no shortage of short stories on the internet, and so I thought it would be a great idea to share. :)

Go into your bookmarks and find TWO of your favorite short stories. (Not your own works, but the works of others.) Don't just type "short stories" into Google. Your stories will suck and everyone will be able to tell. Then e-mail them to THREE partners (using the BCC function). You should be receiving a bunch of stories to bookmark and read.

The stories can be of any genre or subject. Rate 5 stars if your partner sends their completed swap ON TIME, regardless of personal taste.

When writing your e-mail, be sure to include the name of the author, the title of the story, and the date it was uploaded. We want to give credit where credit is due, after all.

Does it have to have the upload date? Because I'd be likely to send classic short stories that were originally published in books. (My favorite is Poe.)

Hi @VerminJerky

Nah, the upload date is really meant more for short stories that are published exclusively online. Poe should be fine. :)

Hello,

I'd like to join this swap. I am a newbie - I hope that is okay? I've chosen two stories that I have read recently. And I was just wondering what is the BCC function?

Thanks!

Hi @vickygr !

Of course that's okay. We've all been newbies here at one time or another. :)

The BCC function is a button in your e-mail client that will allow you to send the same e-mail to multiple people while hiding everyone else's e-mail address. This tutorial should help: http://youtu.be/zs6Bn2KH--w

Oh! I think I know what you mean. I thought it was a swap-bot specific thing. Thank you! :-)
