I went to the tutorial but it didn't say how long to make the ribbon. Has anyone made one of these?

Good eye dear! Thx.

I would start with a piece of ribbon about 18" (45 cm) long.

I LOVE bookmarks. One can never have enough of them!

The other thing @TerryF what size hair elastic would be best? There is up to 3 sizes in the covered bands.

Sorry, I am not aware of different sizes of hair elastic used for pony tails (maybe because I don't use them myself? lol) - I just picked up what I could find at the dollar store.

Use what you think best, and when you get your bookmark, if it is too loose, you can always tie a knot at one end of the elastic to shorten it for smaller books.

Thank you @TerryF

I checked today and see that they have wee covered elastics (about 1" in diameter) - I would suggest not using those. I would use the ones that are about twice that size, 2" or so in diameter. (";)

All righty. Where I live, it's September 9th. However...when I clicked the "sent" button, it registered as the 10th!

TerryF 09/10/2011 #

You must have clicked between 9 and 12 p.m. your time - the SB clock in NY would have turned to midnite at 9 p.m. your time. Not a problem though - thx for letting us know. (";)

I have sent follow-up pms to the one person who has not yet clicked sent, as well as to her 2 receiving partners.

TerryF 09/14/2011 #

Resolved.
