12/18/2023 - Hi there, trying to make good on a swap I owe you, and have reached out via email and PM here. Please read, so I can send this to you. Best, DSweeny
Glad you enjoyed the Dear Doctor mailart! That mailbox rubber stamp is decades old. I think it was 100 Proof Press but I use it so much the company name isn’t visible anymore.
I'm so envious that you have been to a recent Carrie Newcomer concert - I saw her once but it was many years ago. Will have to pay attention to her schedule once concerts start up again.
I first discovered Mrs Pollifax in 1992! My husband and I even listened to some of the stories as books on cassette while commuting, and more recently I've listened to some as CD. One of the later ones in the series has an interview with the author at the end of the CD, and it was interesting to listen to in light of knowledge that she suffered from dementia later in life. I read an article once saying that some later Agatha Christie works may show evidence of dementia (something to do with word choice, or word length?) and wondered if they would find the same thing if they studied Dorothy Gilman.
I didn't know there was a Mrs Pollifax movie; i will have to track it down!
