I am a huge Foo Fighters fan and a fan of alternative rock in general. My other favorite bands are The Beatles and the Beastie Boys. I know, I don't understand it either. I also enjoy bluegrass, classic rock, old school jazz and big band. I'll pretty much listen to anything except Top 40 and crossover country.
I'm 40-years old, married for 17 years, no children but 2 beautiful shelties and a wonderful husband to keep me busy. I work as a civil engineer for a municipal authority which requires me to be very logical during the day but I'm also a very creative person in my free time. I like (no, LOVE) to cook and bake. I'm into eating healthy (trying to anyway) and love all cuisines, but especially asian flavors. I enjoy drawing and painting, knitting (I'm still a beginner), making jewelry, playing piano and reading cookbooks. I do agility and rally training with one of my shelties and I've recently been inducted into the world of yoga. I'm becoming addicted! I love entertaining and hanging out with my friends and family. My interests really gravitate toward cooking, crafting and dogs!
Well, I'm not sure if you'd consider cooking to be a craft, but it's certainly my favorite hobby. I've recently decided I need to be a grown-up about what I put in my body, so healthy cooking has become my newest thing to play around with. As far as more traditional crafts go, I really like to knit (even though I'm slow) and I love tinkering with jewelry making.
Let's see - it's hard to pick an absolute favorite, but the few I have in my collection are Moonstruck, Lawrence of Arabia, Chicago, Guys and Dolls and Philadelphia Story. I love classic comedies (think Doris Day and Rock Hudson), musicals and a good sci-fi flick. I hate anything scary or too gory.
I love to read! Favorite subjects are about food, cooking, people who cook, places they've cooked... See the theme here? I also love travel books. I like some modern fiction (no romance novels please), but I want my reading to make me think and to ultimately teach me something, physically or mentally.
