Hello, I'm Floriane, 33 years old, I live in France, near Paris. I did Postcrossing for a couple of years, and I want to variate happy mails. So swap-bot seems a great option for that!

I began to make junk journals recently and I love the idea of including pieces from all over the world, it would be so great! I also like to concoct packets full of surprises, I already do it each time I can with my friends.

For my hobbies, well... I do Geocaching for a year or so, art journaling (I struggle learning to draw and paint but I don't give up), I used to do a lot of photo but not so much now.

I enjoy reading. I like Jane Austen, Bronte sisters, Tracy Chevalier, Edgar Poe. I'm a big fan of Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. I'm also a big big fan of the movie by Sofia Coppola, this adaptation is genius. I really really love the aesthetic of this one.

Speaking of aesthetic and movies, I also love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Gondry's style is one of my favorite), Wes Anderson's movies (Moonrise Kingdom), Amelie (Amelie is my introvert heroine and one of my favorite movies of all the times).

I don't know what to say more, it's not easy to talk about yourself, so... let's talk about crafts. I'm definitely more comfortable with that subject!

I like vintage and retro stuff, real or faked (I mean new imitating old). All eras are welcome. I also love gothic, steampunk and cabinet of curiosities themes. I love flowers (especially peonies) and vegetal patterns. I love colors in general but I prefer natural/ pastel tones, I really don't like bright flashy colors.

I love all the things you could put into a journal :

• Beautiful papers, enveloppes, tags, labels, book pages…
• Fabrics, lace, buttons, ribbons…
• Frames, corners, paper clips, embellishments…
• Cards, journal cards, library cards…
• Stickers, postage stamps
• Tea/coffe dyed stuff
• Washi tape (I collect them. By the way, you should avoid the MT brand, because I already got a lot of them)
• Wax sealing
