I'm Melissa, a 38 year old mom to 4 kids ages 12, 8, 6, and 5. My husband Bill and I live in Augusta, Kansas and we operate our family business, Blue House Soaps from our home on the lake. My husband just ended his 14 year career in the military and we enjoy soapmaking, movies, and spending time with our kids. I love candles, bath products, and keepsake boxes. As a mom I rarely spend money on myself, so any little treat is always well received. My favorite color is red and I love chocolate!

I like a lot of different types of music. I listen to Top 40 as well as some country, 70's and 80's music, and even classical once in a while. The radio is always on in our home.

My husband and I enjoy watching movies together, and with our children. We have a really cool drive in near our home and we load all of the kids into the van and take them to a triple feature. Everyone falls asleep before the last movie ends, but it's always so much fun. Some of my favorite movies are Love, Actually; Goodfellas; and Meet Me in St. Louis.

I love reality tv. My husband and I watch Big Brother, Survivor, American Idol, Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, to name a few. We also like Heroes, The Office, and Law & Order (all of them).

I enjoy sewing, although I am not very good at it! I just sew for fun and the occasional easy outfit for the kids. My real passion is soapmaking. My husband and I enjoy soapmaking together and have turned it into a home business.
