Ex-pat Brit living in the wilds of Kansas. Feminist, creative, introspective, eclectic tastes. I work fulltime as an advocate for a domestic violence program - I'm pretty passionate about my work so need art/crafts and fun to counterbalance. I have been fortunate to travel the world while working at varied past jobs, and am fascinated by people, what makes them tick, what makes us all unique. I love to meditate (but don't always take the time). I love off-beat humour - I think I probably have a wacky, British sense of humour. Fascinated with words, language, communication, expression and speak several(some are a tad rusty....). Nothing I like better than a glass of wine and some fun, witty conversation. Oh yeah!

I've seen from others' profiles that there's somewhat of a format for this, so here goes....

Preferred colours: black,fuschia, white, silver, metallics, teal green, lavender/mauve - anything wild and funky. Don't like lollipop colours too much: clear red, bright blue, orange.

Likes: Good friends - Conversation - Reading - Shiny, glitzy stuff - Music (Bocelli, Broadway musicals, Celtic/New Age, Luther Vandross, Beatles, Il Divo, K.D. Lang, Chanticleer) Theatre & drama - Funky/fun art - Silky, sexy stuff My Ipod Cooking/baking (especially bread) Indian food, sari fabrics Meditation Travel Beach art - mermaids, shells etc.

Dislikes: Dishonesty - Bigotry - Olives.

The following is not really my style in the way of art/creative pursuits: country-style anything (crafts or music), or anything that involves pom-poms... Just a thing I have. Otherwise I love pretty things to look at, touch, taste, smell and listen to.
