Just a little wish before you mail out a swap to me and I will do my best to spell your name correctly too, I know it is a small thing, but I like the way my name is spelled; My name is Candace, and I love the way my name is spelled, but (many many people are spelling my name wrong with Candice).

Okay A Little About Me; FAVORITE COLORS? I love reds, rose and pink, greens, peach, cream, turquoise, most purples, aqua. patriotic colors, violet, and any color that a flower would be.
LEAST FAVORITE COLORS? I do not like lighter browns or tans or gold much, unless it is a nature color like on a giraffe, bear, dog, etc.

I enjoy sewing and quilting: FABRICS I LOVE? I am partial to civil war fabrics except dark tan colors and also love all the '30's depression fabrics and also, I never met a dot I didn't love!

• LEAST LIKED FABRIC? I like most any fabrics, except for dark tans or light browns and golds. I really love sewing stars and pinwheels too!

•ALLERGIES? No, allergies except heavy cigarette smoke smell makes me feel ill.

A little about myself: I am the mother of two young men; 26 and 28. My husband of almost 31 years retired last year and a lot of my free time has changed, (he worked a lot and I gave myself a lot of art, craft, and sewing time). We live in San Diego and I like to garden, read, watercolor, draw and quilt. I have just started using Copic markers and am loving the simplicity of easy clean-up and drawing with them.

I love to cook, but not clean up. I started sewing & quilting on the same day that I lost my job-I thought, well since I have some extra time while looking for new work-I'd learn to sew, Even though I found a job later, I am so glad I decided to try that first small quilt! I sew once a week on Mondays at a quilt group at Quilt in a Day in San Marcos. Once a week. 

Once a week I garden trying to eek out the most flowers, which are my passion. I love it when different flowers show through other flowering types.

READING:

I also love to read, especially historical books with some romance. I love when I find a good book and it is a series, that is the best! I've read Outlander the series many times. I like reading about real Queens and Kings from Britain, Ireland etc. I love to read cookbooks too and sometimes I get ideas on a meal to try cooking. I drive a long way work, so I listen to books with Audible from Amazon. It is quite nice. I have listened to books of different genres, I never would have tried reading because I thought they wouldn't interest me.

ART:
I paint some too with water colors and water color pencils. I also enjoy drawing sometimes.
I have begun adding alcohol markers like Copic to my art fun!

I work three days a week away from home, so I love relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea and hot chocolate. I try to read, painting in my sketch books or on watercolor papers during my break at work.

Swap items I'd love to receive: .
I would love to receive anything my swapper would love to make or find. I adore little stuffed animals that people have sewn, not the ones you buy that are mass produced. I LOVE DOLLS.

Collecting: Although, I only have a few of the following, I like to think that I am a collector of Dolls, and Teddy Bears AND giraffes. I do collect Dolls, especially older ones from classic stories, like Little Women, Cinderella, Disney stories, etc. I also collect doll clothes. Not Barbie clothes, but any other. I especially love to see doll clothes that were hand-made. Love, Love, Love old children's story books. I love Giraffes, antique iced teaspoons, old cookbooks, dolls, bunnies and teddy bears. I also collect small ceramic toy, people and animal figures "Made in Occupied Japan" during or around WW2, mostly because they remind me of Victorian and Romance Period book characters.

Music: My favorite music is mostly Country music and Rock and Roll. I do not like most Rap music.
