I love mail! And papercrafts, particularly origami; regular and unit.
I'm new to swap-bot but not to swapping. Sending cards during the holidays is one of my favorite things and I have been doing so for years through reddit, Facebook, Brooklyn bride and other blogs. I was also the only kindergartner to do so in my class. :)
I have a fun group of gfs that gets together to hand make cards for troops and nursing homes every year. That is where I discovered I lit is more fun to MAKE cards.
My parents traveled a lot when I was a child and I enjoyed making international pen-pals. One of which, I still correspond with through snail mail 20 years later!
I like inspirational and funny quotes. The cheekier the better! Animals. Color, lots and lots of color. No pastels. OmbrΓΒ©. Geometrical design.Things that are whimsical, pretty and cute.
I dislike anything in a country motif or disney. Other than that I am pretty easy to please.
I recently starting working from home and look forward to all the fun mail to brighten my day!
Update! I am eagerly awaiting my cards! Also to be rated, so please rate promptly so e can begins to earn street cred on here!
Also, I've been told my profile is not well filed out. Not sure what else you all want to know? I'm dirty 30, have three furr babies and counting. I'm an accountant who decided to strike out on my own, so now I work from home and I love setting my own hours!
My favorite place in the world is Kermit, Texas! Not just because of the name. My sweetie is from there. I may or may not have promised to name our first born Kermit. :) I'n have done rolos and deco mash in my fb group and have realized I don't enjoy them. I'm pretty plain jane when it comes to what crafts I like to do and receive.
Also I see the "pledge to rate" button on profiles. I pledge to rate too!

Hey, Cynthia! Your first attempt was perfect! Just take out any spaces. :) You have one after the exclamation and after the brackets. Take them out and it should do the picture. Your 2nd attempt was PERFECT because you took the spaces out, but the brackets weren't there. Wanna try again?
Hi again, Cynthia! Thank you for the Profile reply.
I get pictures from PicGifs. I search for the subject I want, click on it, and it gives me three codes at the bottom of the screen. I choose the last code (the Direct Link code) as my pic URL. Then I type this in the Comments, (or on my profile, or in a PM, wherever you want to use it on SB) in the format below:
! [] (Direct link URL from PicGifs)
Make sure there are no spaces after the exclamation point, in the brackets nor after the brackets, and your picture should show after you leave your Comment or save your Profile.
I promise that it SOUNDS a whole lot more complicated than it is. It's actually very easy. :)
Oh, I'm not sure how I found your Profile. I was Profile-hopping yesterday and sometimes I click on random people found in ratings on swapper's Profiles. I found your Profile from someone else's page but I couldn't tell you whom it was. Someone you have left a rating for I'm sure. I don't leave comments on everybody's page I land on, but sometimes something in their Profile touches me and I'll comment. :) I love how you make notecards for the troops and nursing homes. And because I love making notecards, too, I thought it might be fun to perhaps do a swap one day. Don't feel obligated at all. It was just a thought, and sometimes the timing might not be right, but it might be right later. Just keep me in mind if you ever want to do a private swap. I love them, and I love notecards. :)
Have a great time on Swap-bot!
Welcome to Swap-bot!
I think it's so thoughtful of you to make cards for the troops and nursing homes. I hope you'll find lots of swaps here that interest you. If you ever want to do a private swap and exchange handmade notecards, I'd love to do one with you! ;)
Have fun!
