I am 57 and live in Western Washington state. I live with my 1 cat and 1 dog. We have a 2 year old Bygulla (cat), and 7 year old Hunin (daschund). They are all completely spoiled, but they are my babies.
I like fairies, not just the pretty ones but also gnomes and trolls. Spiders and spider webs as well are super cool!
I am Wiccan so please do not send me any overtly Christian items.
I do not have any allergies that I am aware of.
I have never been very good about what to say in these types of things. I am sure that I will add more over time.
I like almost any type of music... Pink, Johnny Cash, Pat Benatar, Rush, REM all of it.... New, old, it really doesn't matter. One type I don't care for too much is Rap, but that is about it for dislikes.
The first SciFi book I remember reading was called This Perfect Day and I think I was 12. SciFi/Fantasy are some of my favorites. Mariam Zimmer Bradly is one of my favorite authors although I also enjoy Dean Koontz and other suspense writers. Westerns and Romance novels not so much.
Star Trek, Firefly, my current favorite is NCIS and CSI. For the most part, I try really hard to not be tied to a TV schedule. So it is really great that a lot of TV shows are coming out on DVD. My newest favorite is one that is being cancelled... Eureka!
I have been embroidering since I was 5; knitting since I was 10 and crocheting since I was 13. I still do embroidery but really enjoy counted cross stitch more. Sewing has been something that I have been working on improving in the last couple of years. I am learning how to make bobbin lace and needlelace is on my to do list.
One thing that is not the typical hobby that I have been involved in for over 25 years is the Society for Creative Anachronism. The SCA recreates the best of the Middle Ages (600-1650). I love learning historical facts and trying to figure out how something was done. It is a hobby that I have enjoyed for years but is and always will be just a hobby.
Well... I am not particularly fond of cute stuff. Colors I don't particularly care for are orange, pink and lime-y greens...
