Just an update on me here - I am a little slow on the draw right now. Getting one of the kids over the H1N1 thing. sigh with 5 I knew it was going to happen eventually and I couldn't DO anything about it becuase the vaccine is as yet unavaiable here unless you are pregnant or care for an infant under 6 months... my daughter is 8 months. Go figure. Anyway just cleaning up the H1N1 mess from my house and will be back on track in a day or so. Just wanted everyone to know what is going on and only had a minute or so online. Please bear with me as soon as he goes back to school I will email everyone individually and let you know what is happening with your packages. Thanks!!
My real name is Ann and I am a married mother of 5 along with working for an auction house. I LOVE to scrapbook, do anything crafty, write, penpal, swap - especially small things and handmade things. I have been "out" of swapping for a few years planning my wedding and dealing with my father's passing, starting my new job and having my youngest 2 children... although now that I have passed my 1st wedding anniversary and the youngest is now 4 months old and I have been working for awhile i have kind of decided that it's time to get back into the things that I love to do. Mommy's need some relaxing things for themselves too. I have been actively scrapping for years and have started faithbooking recently. If there is anything you want to know about me just ask. It's been awhile since I have filled out one of these profiles and I always seem to leave something important out. :)
I have fairly ecclectic taste in music. My husband, after all, is a musician. He plays in a regional touring blues band. My son plays rock (think My Chemical Romance type stuff), my oldest daughter is into pop, and the little ones listen to whatever is convenient at the time. I personally have a "thing" for songs more than artists most of the time, I am a lyrics junkie and that is usually what draws me into music. Tom Lehrer is cool!! My mp3 player has everything from Katey Perry to Marc Cohn, My Chemical Romance to Etta James and Frank Sinatra, Lincoln Park to Kennny Chesney... you get the idea. :)
I am currently enamord with Dean R Koontz, James Patterson & Johnathan Kellerman - not that I have a whole lot of time to read because I would rather craft in my free time but if I get into a book I usually hav eit read in 2 - 3 days.
Haven't seen a whole ton of movies lately. Last one I saw was Gran Turino which I have to say was great. MOst of what I get to see these days is animated and they use funny voices! LOL Trials of having a toddler I guess. And by the time it's late enough to watch a 'mommy movie' I am falling asleep 20 minutes into it. LOL
I like CSI, Without a Trace, Law and Order, Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers, Antique Road Show, Man vs Food, my early morning Today Show connection to the world on my way out the door, Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters... that's about it really, now that I think about it I am a creature of habit with the TV...
It's easier to say what I DON'T like in crafting that list everything I DO. LOL I have been crafting seriously since I was 7 and tough myself counted cross stitch during a bout with the chicken pox. I don't enjoy Latch Hook and I don't know how to knit. My MAJOR crafts are scrapbooking and altered art followed closely by cross stitch and crochet. I even do mosaic, stained glass and quilting if I am in the mood though. LOL
I enjoy swapping all sorts of things: ATC's Inchies Postcards (mostly handmade) Scrapping Supplies Crafting Supplies (there's always something that I have here that I should NOT have bought! LOL) FBs Decos Penpalling is a big thing for me too... ephemera (working at an auction house I get some REALLY cool stuff and don't mind sharing at all) I have also been known to trade blank ATCs and inchies, and epemera for incense for my husband as well - he LOVES insence! :)
I really enjoy swapping just about anything, to be honest, it's just nice to get mail that isn't junk or a bill and I LOVE making things for other people,
I have a "thing" for scrapbook paper, pens (don't ask), small scrapping emellishments, found items, ephemera, anything asian theme, victorian themed, roses, vintage costume jewlery (I am kind of an estate junkie), Renaissance stuff, anything vintage or that looks like it's vintage is ALWAYS safe with me.

Don't bother sending for the AC - Matchboxes swap. We re-routed it past you so you won't be receiving either.
You were supposed to send an ornament to me for the "3rd Annual PURPLE Christmas Handmade Ornament Swap." The deadline was October 19th. It's now the 27th - 8 days late - and it still hasn't been sent. Wondered when (or if) you are planning on sending the swap. Thanks for letting me know.
