About Me

I'm Jade, a young 20-something girl from England. I'm pretty new to swap-bot but I'm really excited to be getting involved in this community!

I work as an animator (I love everything to do with art, drawing, photography, etc) but am currently re-training to become a teacher as helping others is my passion. I love being outside in nature and with animals, and am always looking for a new way to help out local and international wildlife!

In other ways I'm a typical youth. I love books (Harry Potter!), movies (I'm mad on Disney), video games (Pokémon!), and just hanging out, having a fun time. :) I'm very big on Japanese culture as I spent a year in a small city near Tokyo, teaching English. I'd love to learn more about other people's countries and cultures, no matter where you're from.

I own two cats so if you have any allergies please let me know and I'll be extra careful with hairs, etc.

If sending postcards, I don't mind naked or envelope. Your choice!

Favorite Music

Anything J-Pop; I'm always willing to try out new bands (my absolute favourite is Greeeen).

I love anything pop punk rock (Green Day, Blink-182, McBusted).

I'm also very big on classics. Give me The Beatles, Michael Jackson, or Whitney Houston any day!

Favorite Books

I love trying out new books; I really want to start getting more into reading.

I'm absolutely obsessed with the Harry Potter series but I have dabbled in several classics by C.S Lewis, Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, George Orwell, and H.G. Wells.

Comment: I wanted to do Inktober but it's like me trying to do those photo a day-challenges, I always manage to do maybe 1 week and then it dies down XD oh it was so exciting to read about your time in Japan! I love the country dearly and if I'd be a bit more 'do it' kind of person, I'd love to try teaching there :) also, I love GReeeeN, my favorite song from them is Kiseki! How did you like Asakusa? Senso-ji is so beautiful, I hope I get to visit there again, and soon! :) I hope you'll feel better this year, all the best!
