Hi I'm Leanne, I have just turned 33. I am a quiet person who keeps myself to myself. I have a beautiful daughter who has special needs. I have a few friends but they mean the absolute world to me. I heard about this site from an acquaintance and decided that it would be a good way to make some new friends.

I am a newbie to this site so if anyone has any suggestions on how I can improve my profile please let me know, thank you. I have come to realise that not everyone rates but I want to ensure any future swap partners that I send on time and if it is one that requires posting I always get proof of postage at the post office. I have noticed recently that our post is getting lifted earlier from the local post office than stated (and mostly on a Saturday but during the week too), I always send on time however if date stamped is later this will be the reason why.

I have many hobbies mostly crafting in nature. My number 1 hobby is cross stitch. I find it incredibly relaxing but I have so many things started, I really need to start finishing some off! At the moment I have 5 that I am working on a rotation basis, I don't like to be stitching the same thing each time I sit down.

I enjoy drawing, zentangle, blackwork, some card making and scrapbooking although I haven’t done any in a while. I also love cooking and baking and love trying new recipes. I am in the process of losing weight and love adapting recipes to make them healthier.

I love writing and making lists. I love photography and walking.

I have a bucket list that I am attempting to complete, and some things on it are there to take me out of my comfort zone as I think that is quite a good thing to push yourself to achieve something that you know you can do but might find a wee bit scary to start with.

I love owls and the colour purple, I love the smell of freshly cut grass and the feeling of sand between my toes and I love nature.

I love reading – mostly crime things. My favourite authors are James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen and M.J. Arlidge. I have read other authors as well but don’t get quite as hooked as I do with these authors.

On TV I again like to watch crime shows like Rizzoli and Isles, CSI, NCIS, MacGyver, true crime shows, police shows, but also like easy watching like friends and other comedies – sometimes you just want to watch without thinking too much!

I love love love music – it is an extension of me. My tastes range from up to date pop to classic to a little bit of everything. My favourite music is 80’s though. You will often find me and my daughter dancing around the living room having a brilliant time.

I love autumn it is one of my favourite seasons, I love the changing colours and the cold crisp mornings. However I absolutely love the snow and I am crazy mad on Christmas! Tree is always up on the 1st of December and sometimes a wee bit before, we do Christmas crafts and baking most days in December and the house always smells of Christmas too !

My challenges this year are to learn how to crochet properly and also to learn to use the sewing machine properly.

I can appreciate the work that goes into knitting but it is the one thing that I just cannot master – I think I have given up on that!

There is not much that I don’t like however I am petrified of snakes, spiders, and clowns and I really don’t like anything like horrors or scary stuff.

I am open to private swaps as well.

I would quite like to start making ATC's and pocket letters. I am wary of joining swaps just incase mine are not good enough. However would be open to private swaps in these so I know whether I am good enough or not.
