As of September 2018, I’m back in school to work on my Graphic Design degree! I’m super excited, but this also means I won’t be participating in very many swaps, maybe quick ones if I have the time. I managed to make some awesome pen pals here so I will try and keep up with them first, hope to be swapping again soon!

Greetings! I'm Jen, 31 years old, happily married and have a one year old son, living in the Bay Area since 2015, originally from Austin, Texas, born and raised.

I've just started pen palling, postcrossing, and now swap-botting(?)! Doing my part to revive snail mail.

I started my lettering journey in March 2017 shortly after my son was born, and I became a stay at home mom. For the most part of the year I stuck to lettering with markers and pens.

Now I am venturing into watercolor painting, and as of 4/16/2018 I'm learning Copperplate Calligraphy with a dip pen, wish me luck lol (I'm left handed so the struggle is real). I have also begun stamping and embossing, and just learning how to apply different forms and techniques into my artwork.

I started playing the piano when I was 6 years old and at 12 I started playing the organ for my church. I love singing in my church choir and learning how to play different musical instruments, in middle school I played the french horn and over the years I've been on and off learning to play the guitar. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, the only exception would be “screamo.”

My mother taught me to sew and crochet when I was young, and in 2017 I started learning how to knit. Though I find these hobbies fascinating, I've never really finished a project other than making throw pillows and curtains, but I love the idea of decorating my home with home-made decor :)

I'm resolving to read more, my favorite author is Dan Brown. (The Davinci Code, Angels & Demons, The Lost Symbol, Inferno) I have his newest book, Origin.

I used to indulge myself in video games! XBOX360, WII, and sometimes PC. I absolutely love The Elder Scrolls games (Oblivion, Skyrim), Final Fantasty XIII, any Nintendo games, Sims 3 and League of Legends to name a few. That is the only MMO I'll play, I'm more of an anti-social RPG gamer haha. Now that I have a toddler, I stick to iPad games, restaurant/hotel simulators, This War of Mine, puzzles.

Currently, I am having a blast on swap-bot and learning new paper crafts, and writing to my penpals.

Lettering has opened plenty of doors to keep me busy for a while. As I mentioned above, I am currently learning Copperplate Calligraphy. I think a list is just easier so here goes:
