APDG ~ Share Your State!
Hi there,
I live in Seattle Washington and I decided to mostly share my city but with a few images of other places too!
Pikes Place Market is a beautiful farmers market here where you can get almost any food you would want like fresh produce and meat to little street food type stands. There are also many artists selling their arts.
The Space Needle is one of the more iconic things in the Seattle skyline. I have never actually been up in it but I have been at the base and it is beautiful. It was built for the worlds fair in the 60's.
The Fremont Troll is a really cool under bridge sculpture in the Fremont neighborhood. It is really cool to climb around and look at. For size the bug in it's hand is real.
This is the main library in Downtown Seattle. It is an architectural marvel. Inside there is the usual library finds plus things like an observation deck.
Here is the gorgeous Mount Rainier which on a clear day you can see from Seattle. Many people hike here. It is really beautiful.
So I am going to share my current state and then the state where I was born and sometimes miss!
I am in Rockhampton - just off the top end of the letter d!
Great Barrier Reef
Now I was born in Oklahoma
I miss the small towns where everybody knows everybody and I miss not having anyone ask me where I'm from cause chances are they know me or somebody I'm related too! And to them I don't talk funny!
I miss the flat roads!
And I miss marshmallows on a campfire! Graham crackers in Australia from a USA food supplier are $12.00 a box!
APDG World of Jim Henson -Remembering a legend
Hi there!
Ever since I was a little kid I have always loved the work of Jim Henson. The Muppets especially have inspired me so much and some day I want to get a rainbow connection tattoo. I hope you enjoy these I picked.
Durring the opening scene of the Muppet movie!
I always joke about how this was before piggy's plastic surgery because her eyes look different now.
I also really miss the classic Sesame lineup!
I didn't see Labyrinth until I was an adult but I remember loving the creature / puppet effects!
Fraggle Rock was one I never got into but I am sure I would love it now!
