I am a mom of 4, married to a great guy, who is gone half the time (really). I live in a state that I hate and love. Alaska. hate it because its cold and I miss my family, love it because its really a beautiful place. But my heart is really in Oregon. I am the fourth girl and the last of seven. I am a Christian, and run the kitchen ministry at our church. I love to cook, nothing fancy just good home cooking, the kind my grandma used to cook. I collect cookbooks, love to shop at thrift stores, garage sales, and what not shops. my newest thing is old canning jars from all over. favorite colors, reds, green and soft pink. I like things that make me feel good when I look at them, usually old things that bring memories of my childhood. Oh and I love cats, we have 2! One of which is a seven toed mitten kitten. LOVE coffee, good coffee and love to visit with friends while having a cup.
My favorite books... hmm, thats tuff! way to many to say, I love to read and do every night. As for what I like well, lots of different writing, I just finished "Infadel", prior to that "Tales of a Female Nomad" and "All but My Life" (a Jewish memoir). Currently reading "Between Georgia" and " Thirteen Senses"
i listen to a lot of Christian music, new age and old, LOVE 80s music, some country.
Love to scrap book. not a card maker. Just was given a new Husqvarna Viking sewing machine for Christmas! I know the basics but hope to learn to quilt. I have recently started working with wool felt and really like it and I am hoping to expand and explore with wool roving . And I want to learn how to do rug hooking.
