I am a book-addicted wannabe stay at home wife who is currently in the Navy. I live in Hawaii with my wonderful husband of 3 years, Anthony, and our beautiful golden retriever babies, Loki and Cyndir.

Being in the military I don't have a lot of female friends so I am always interested in meeting new people who have similar likes, dislikes, dreams, etc.

I was told about this website quite some time ago but I never got a chance to create an account until now. From what I can see, I'm going to have a lot of fun here! I can't wait to start joining swaps, letting out my more creative side, and having a blast!

I absolutely love to read! And I'm not picky about the kind of books I enjoy either. I go through spouts where I enjoy one genre more than another until moving onto the next. Right now I am just reading a random mish-mash of genres until I get hooked on one again.

Currently there aren't any types of crafts that I would consider myself "hooked on." I would really love to start getting into scrapbooking but I don't even know where to begin on that! Every now and then I'll go into Ben Franklin's and wander over to the scrapbooking section. Within mere moments I'm feeling completely overwhelmed! One of these days, though, I am going to have to temper down that feeling and pick up some supplies.

I also want to learn how to quilt. I have a sewing machine, and in the past few years I have taught myself how to hem pants and skirts, and how to sew on patches to my or my hubby's uniforms but that's about it. I plan on looking into taking a sewing class pretty soon. Hopefully I'll be able to learn quickly and I can start creating beautiful masterpieces. And hopefully I'm not the only one who thinks they're beautiful masterpieces ;).

Being in the military has given me a love for traveling! In the past two years I have been to Japan, Italy, Thailand and Malaysia. I have tried new foods, learned about new cultures, and met some wonderful and interesting people. I plan to keep that up even after I get out by going to other far away countries and taking pictures and making memories to last a lifetime!
