About Me

I love all art and crafts especially textiles. I worked in horticulture for the about 20+ years, crafts have crept up on me during the last 9. I don't have nearly enough time to indulge to develop all the ideas I have so ATC's are a great idea to experiment with.

Love anything vintage, visiting vintage bazars/shops.

I try to keep active with yoga and walking.

Learning about other countries/cultures is another interest. This comes from having an Austrian Mother and Russian Father.

Favorite Crafts

I'll try anything! But textiles rate as my favourite although I have a growing interest in multi media art. I love experimenting with new products and techniques.

Favorite things

I love vibrant colours, silk, felt, art nouveau, art deco, old roses, moorish architecture, cities, markets, interesting shops. Love any crafty 'bits' such as beads, buttons, threads and scraps of fabric.

Favorite Books

Craft books of course! I particularly like books about textile art and fabric manipulation. Also history of textiles. Other books I enjoy are travel books, history books and anything to do with the art deco/nouveau period.

Hi, You are in the swap I am hosting, ATC with a Tree, thanks for posting it so speedily. I noticed you have a great birthdate, I was also born on October 22nd but in 1959. I love textiles and have done all my life and now due to Swap-bot I am hooked on ATC's. I love collage and mixed media works.
