I am a high school English teacher. I teach English to students who are new to speaking English. Currently I have students from 14 different countries. I also teach students who have problems with reading comprehension. I tend to work well with many different kinds of at-risk kids. I also sponsor the Anime club.

I enjoy doing many different kinds of art. I scrapbook, quilt, knit, stamp, and a variety of paper related art. When I have time I also like making handmade books.

In addtion to art, I love to cook. My friends and family are happy for that. I am especially fond of making bread.

I am married and have two wonderful, unique children. Ellie is 10 and Ethan is 13. We do a lot of outdoor things like camping, hiking, etc.

I like a lot of different kinds of music. I can sing along to muscials and many of the 1980's new wave music, just as well as I can sing along to many Johnny Cash songs. I do not care for heavy metal music, or music with a lot of heavy guitar solos.

I love lots of movies. I have a real thing for Asian movies. "Fairwell My Concubine" is on the top of my list. I also love "Molan Rogue." I also enjoy English humor, ala Monty Python style. Recently I enjoyed the movie about Beatrix Potter, "Lake House" and "Stranger than Fiction."

I don't really watch T.V. When I have access to cable, I like to watch "Iron Chef" as well as other cooking shows.
