I am married and live in rural Suffolk. I work full time for Mencap as a service manager - it is demanding but interesting and rewarding work. To relax in the evenings and at weekends I love to make things - especially for Christmas and to work in my garden. From the beginning of November every year I am full-on Christmas crafting. I have just signed up for my first swap and am really looking forward to sharing my work with people outside my small circle of family and friends and seeing what other people are making. Life is good.

I love Harry Potter - far more than is probably healthy for a woman of my age. Also love George Orwell, Jane Austin, Thomas Hardy, James Frey, Ian McEwan, Lionel Shriver and browsing the shelves looking for what I might love next.

I love to sew and am really into felt. I designed my own Walrus ornament this year and he is mighty fine.
