I like to quilt, but not applique! Other crafts I enjoy are rubber stamping, crewel and floss embroidery, sewing, stamped and counted cross stitch, and crocheting. I am learning to knit and also just started with Swedish embroidery.

I live in the mountains about an hour's drive north of Anchorage, Alaska. I enjoy gardening, 4-wheeling through mud and water and up in the mountains, canoeing, walking, picking berries, needlework, and white-water rafting. We also do a lot of fishing--halibut, salmon, and trout. My collectibles include moose, bunnies, and mosquitoes. I have three grown daughters and four grandchildren. I am married, work full time, and my husband works in the North Slope oil fields.

I like to read murder mysteries and drama, such as James Patterson, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwall, Janet Evanovich, and Dean Koontz. But I also enjoy light reading, such as...Ann of Green Gables.

Things I like: the color green, skinny latte, poppyseed muffin, Germany. I drink a lot of black coffee and skinny lattes. I also like hot tea, from black tea to flavored tea. I like unsweetened iced tea.

Things I don't like: peanut butter--although I like peanut butter cookies and Reese's! I also don't like flavored coffee.
