Hello Eleanor,

Sorry it's taken so long to post this. I misread the instructions and thought I was to comment on the postcard. DUH! I read your profile and loved it - you sound so exciting, talented and just on the go. To have that much energy and talent is awesome and also a big responsibility. I can see that I am going to have to learn more terms in the art world and what is also going on in the real world. There are a lot of things, persons, movies, stuff that I have never heard of - maybe I will have to talk to my grandchildren and have them educate me.

My grandson Logan (9 on Dec 6) is a big fan of Minecraft and plays every day. His Dad likes playing too and they are often playing together. Sean lives with us and the kids are here every other week so we have a big household as Sean's girlfriend Kristi is also here and Charlie the dog.

I need you to tell me about the candy wrappers. We get chocolates wrapped in colored shiny paper. My husband carefully unwraps his and smooths the paper out - is this suitable? Other wrapped candies we like are Kerrs Taffy and Werther's Originals. Is this the kind of stuff you collect?

I don't know most of the authors you read but I do know Janet Evanovich and thoroughly enjoy her books. Have you read Jon Cleary's novels? The ones I like are set in Sydney - police stories and they span a couple of decades - the policeman was Scobie Malone. I couldn't put them down.

I also like Bryce Courtenay - a South African with Australian citizenship. His first book was "The Power of One" - outstanding. Another author I couldn't put down.

I wish we got more Australian TV - right now we are getting a lot of educational Australian shows - the way art and artists have evolved was on the other evening. Last night was how the early peoples survivied and their customs and another on a group of natives that we found in the early 60's who'd never seen white men. Dick has taped them so I can watch them later and probably re-watch them. Years ago, probably before you were born, we watched "Water Rats" which we loved. Saw all shows more than once but that didn't matter.

I see you don't like licorice - one of our favorite sweets. We were in Australia twice and we bought your yummy licorice every chance we got. I tried to get my brother to bring me back 5 pounds but he didn't htink he could get it through customs.

I love your profile page - iti's interesting, artistic and fun. Just like you sound to be.

Good luck in all your adventures.

Hello! Thanks for explaining the matter of the tea. I really thought that australian cant't receive tea! I read your profile and it is so rich of life and detailed! The best part is the link of the penguins-mirror, is really impressive!!! I want one at home! I love plushies and I really like penguins. Lino cut stamps is cool! I attended a workshop in my bookshop some months ago and I had a lot of fun!

Read my profile--Write a comment round 1 Hi Zindy! Your profile is impressive! You have so many interests, and the crafts you make seem unlimited. You are by far one of the most diverse and interesting people I have met here, and you sound like a lot of fun. I hope to swap with you sometime in the future. And thanks for clearing up the tea thing, I did read that recently, and made a mental note not to include tea, although I was almost certain I sent some last Christmas to some Australian partners and there wasn't an issue. Anyways, yes, Bladerunner is one of the best movies of all time. I saw it as a young kid in the movie theaters, and I was captivated. I also love art deco, too. I could never have too many prints of Klimt or Van Gogh. I frame those postcards whenever I receive them. Well, it was a pleasure reading your profile, I hope to see you in our upcoming group swaps! Sofia

Hey Eleanor, hi again :) i loved reading your profile and I am stealing some of your headings...they are really cute. I have to say thanks for clearing up the question on Australia and tea, i wanted to send some to a fellow bottie, but i wasn't sure. I am clearly not as freaked out now as i was before.

Your love of anime is refreshing and has sparked my interest to look some of them up. I know Big Hero 6 and have heard of some of the others. We share our love of Die Hard and of Bruce Willis, I presume?! :)

I love new music and listened to that Newton Faulkner - just beautiful. I can't wait to share with my daughter. Have you heard about SOCA or CALYPSO. They are both from my country. its fun, get your party on music. Here's a few links to try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIWzu0E_-4Q
