About Me

I'm a retired librarian and was recently introduced to ATCs and the fun of sharing art by my sister. I live with my husband of 45 years and a Chesapeake Bay retriever named Reed. We are proud parents of 2 grown children. Time spent with our son, daughter, their spouses and our lovely granddaughter is the best! Some of my other loves are the Bay, books, US history, genealogy, old buttons, postcards, and of course, ATCs. Also love anything and everything to do with food and cooking. I especially love regional recipes and cookbooks and a wide range of kitchen collectibles.

Favorite Music

Love 50's music, Broadway musicals, Eagles, Abba, Statler Bros. and most classical music.

Favorite Books

Books have been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I usually have a stack from the library and often have a novel and a non-fiction or two going at once. Just finished Olive Kitteridge by Strout and Eden's Outcasts, a biography about Louisa May Alcott and her father, Bronson. Also enjoy the fiction of Elizabeth Berg, Elinor Lipman, Mary Lawson, Alan Lightman and Brad Kessler.

Favorite Movies

Love a lot of the AMC movies. Not into many of the action packed, in your face types. Little Women, GWTW, Braveheart, To Kill A Mockingbird, East of Eden, Picnic, are a few. Also like most of Katherine Hepburn's, Patricia Neal's, Susan Sarandon's and Meryl Streep's.

Favorite Television

Favorite TV viewing includes old, and not so old, movies, a lot of History Channel, Jeopardy, As Time Goes By, Antiques Roadshow,ER and Hopkins. Also like The View and Brothers and Sisters. Two and a Half Men makes me laugh.

Favorite Crafts

I have just discovered the joy of creating and sharing ATCs. I have always loved pretty stationery, old postcards, and fabrics and fabric crafts. I have a passion for vintage and antique buttons and enjoy the challenge of turning them in to beautiful jewelry.
