Hi, My name is Beth I'm in my mid-thirties, and I live in a really small town in Washington State, USA.
I am interested in old fashioned life, and am constantly looking for ideas to honor our old ways of living and lost skills in this technological age.
I have a bachelors degree from Ohio University in Recreation Studies, Outdoor Education and Camping.
Currently I work with children (K-6) at an after-school program designed to enhance their literacy skills in my little small town elementary school.
I have many interests including:
-simple living (homesteading)
-rabbits
-gardening
-cooking and baking
-sewing and fiber arts
-nature
-post-carding
-learning new skills and ideas
sewing
quilting
crochet
embroidery (hand)
hand spinning yarn (wool, angora, hemp, silk)
hand carved rubber stamps
Anything that is the color green coffee, tea, stickers, native american history, geology, caves and caverns, house plants, animals of all kinds, foraging for wild foods (mushrooms, berries, etc), soaking in natural hot springs, picking up rocks, shells and sand dollars on the beach, and hiking in the forest.
I don't watch much traditional TV, but shows I do like are:
X-Files, Masterchef, How Clean is Your House, all types of documentaries, Deadwood, Longmire.
Alice in Wonderland, Brave New World, other than that I mostly read non-fiction books.
