Hope you got your card on time. When you say 'you rock' I right away think of our church which is called Church of The Rock and so many ministries there have the word 'rock' in them. Baby Rocks, Kids Rock, Solid Rock Cafe and so on .... so I like the word! :o)
I found the dimensions online for first class letters so I'll copy and paste it here from the usps website:
First-Class Mail Letter
First-Class Mail, Priority Mail, or Express Mail is required for personal correspondence, handwritten or typewritten material, and bills or statements of account. First-Class Mail may also be used for advertisements.
Dimension Minimum Maximum
Height 3-1/2 inches 6-1/8 inches
Length 5 inches 11-1/2 inches
Thickness 0.007 inch 1/4 inch
Letters that meet one or more of the nonmachinable characteristics below are subject to the nonmachinable surcharge. For heavier items, see Large Envelope or Package.
It is a square letter
It is too rigid – does not bend easily
It has clasps, string, buttons, or similar closure devices
It has an address parallel to the shorter dimension of the letter
It contains items such as pens that cause the surface to be uneven
The length divided by height is less than 1.3 or more than 2.5
I'll be sending you a swap of sticker slams, they won't arrive sooner than 2 weeks anyway. Btw do you mind if I through in a few est. FBs? I got some as an unsolicited swap and I don't have anyone to forward them to.
I'll have to read that post on the forum. I have mentioned a few times on my swaps that it is a good idea to ask for the first class mail shape-based pricing template. If it goes through the template it is fine for shipping. One thing you also do need to make sure is that it will go through the template from your house to the recipients house. The items might very well fit through it at your post office but if the stuff can shift ( and does shift) then by the time it gets to me it's a different kind of package. Using rubber bands or tape (make sure you rub some of the adhesive off so it wont damage any paper you use it on) to have the item not move is a great idea too. :)
Hellooohooo:-) Hope you are fine over there? Do you got my letter? Hope it sooo much! Please let me know when it arrived and if you are interested to stay penpals. Have a wonderful weekend!
Rebecca
