My name is Danielle. I live in Upstate (Western New York) with my husband, son, and two dogs. I enjoy being a mom and wife. It's a good time. We live near a little beach, and I love walking over and looking for sea glass. I find this to be very relaxing. We love going on adventures as a family, and anything can be an adventure... I love being outdoors, reading good books, drinking coffee, traveling, pretending to be a foodie, and spending time with family.

I do a lot of scrap-booking of my family and our adventures. Lately, I have especially been loving Project Life scrap-booking. I also do a lot of quilting and some light sewing. I love trying new patterns and quilting with my younger sister. I love making my house a home with a touch of hand-made. I find much joy in adding personalized touches to the decor in our home. Some things include wreaths, centerpieces, wall hangings, and photos. My husband enjoys fishing, hunting, and the Chicago Bears so it is very easy to create things for his space too. For our family spaces I enjoy rich earthy colors in some rooms and also crisp greys against white in others.

I majored in Philosophy for my BA and this involved A LOT of reading. I still love to read today. Lately, I have been trying to read each book on the Times Top 100 Novels list. I just finished 'All the King's Men' and it was great! 'The Adventures of Augie March' was also very good. Anything written by Ralph Waldo Emerson has a special place in my heart, as well as Plato, Kant, C. S. Peirce, and so on. I have also been reading quite a few parenting books such as 'Bringing up Bebe' and 'Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother'. I found both to be very interesting.

House of Cards, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, House Hunters, Love it or List it, anything Duggars, Dateline, SNL (if I could just stay up long enough) and more.
