I am a mom of four kids ages 23-12. I enjoy quilting, reading, collecting aprons and cookbooks. Our family is very involved with church and I work with the little kids and love it. I have a married daughter living out-of-state, two boys in college, and a "bonus baby" daughter who is in 7th grade. I love spending time with family (harder to do now that they are getting older), walking and playing board games.
I love 70's rock, jazz, show tunes and some current music (I listen to that when my 12 year old is in the car)
I love historical fiction, especially 1800's era. I am just starting the Twilight series (I think I'm the only one around here who hasn't read them) I also like a good suspense novel now and then.
Quilting and sewing are my favorite hobbies. I am just finishing a civil war reproduction quilt and a fun yellow, red, black and white strip quilt. Fabrics I like: Amy Butler, polka dots, 30's/40's repro and civil war repro, and food prints charm squares (for a picnic quilt I want to make). I don't like: batiks or too contemporary. I'm not too particular on colors, whatever I can't use my 12 year old will (she likes to quilt too)
I love to bake. I like to bake desserts the most. My kids have always loved cookies, so we make those almost weekly. For Christmas I am putting together a cookbook with all my favorite dessert recipes to give to friends and family.
I love collecting vintage aprons. This started when I was given a few aprons that belonged to my grandmother, now I find them in antique stores and thrift stores.
I collect cookbooks too. Those are fun to find at thrift stores or used book stores. I especially like old family/church cookbooks because they are usually tried and true favorites and it's fun to see what was made years ago.
My other collecting favorite is Nativities. I like those from other countries because they are so unique.

Thanks for joining the Ribbons and Buttons Swap #2! I hope you have fun! :)
Wonderful job! Thanks, I was just trying to help and having this info helps me better pick out squares you might like.
Could you please add some favorite colors, fabric lines or designers, crafts, etc to your profile so I can have an idea what kind of charm squares to send you for our swap?
