My name is Wilma. I'm a blogger, Etsy shop owner and mother. I live with my boyfriend, our son Rens (turning one in july) and our cat in a home thatΓ’β¬β’s far from finished right now. I love to be creative and inspired in every aspect of my life.
I love a lot of different styles of music, as long as I can really feel it. Emotion in music is very important for me. People who really touch me with their voice are for example Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Amanda Palmer but also Lemmy from Motorhead. I think he has an amazing sexy voice.
I'm a big fan of Dutch literature with W.F. Hermans as my absolute favorite writer of all time. I love his style. It feels so real, but so unreal at the same time. He wrote a book called 'Ruisend Gruis' (I don't know if it's translated to English) on his death-bed, it came out after he died. I love this book because it feels like a dream. You believe everything he tells you. All the absurd things he is writing about look completely normal. Until you finish the book and 'wake up'. That's when you get that feeling like: what the hell was that? I love that feeling...
The kind of movies that I love to watch are the kind that feel very real and persona but also have something kind of absurd in them. Like '500 days of Summer', 'The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' and 'AmΓΒ©lie'. I can't really say what it is that draws me to these movies, it's a feeling I think.
When I watch television I just want to relax and be entertained. I watch a lot of shows from the cooking channel and TLC. It's not that I stay home for television shows, I just watch what is on at that moment.
This is a really hard one for me. I love a lot of different crafts. I do have a blog where I show a lot of different crafts. I love to sew, draw, paint, make jewelry, make paper crafts, do recycling projects... The one thing I absolutely can not do is crocheting. It's a shame, I know. One day I will learn how to do this.
Ok, there are a few things I really do not like. I don't like things associated with violence. I'm from the Netherlands where sex and drugs are OK, but guns are illegal and I'm standing behind these standards. I also am not a big fan of the cute Kawaii stuff, the color purple, coffee, sweet candy, rap and r&b music, earrings (I don't wear them) and stuff with creatures from other worlds on them.
Of course I want to end this positive. The things I do like are: vintage and retro (inspired) stuff, bright colors, tea, fabric, pretty paper, crocheted stuff (because that's the one craft I can not do), stuff for my sweet baby or cat, all things with camera's on them, creativity and of course uniqueness. I love to see your personality shine through in the stuff you send me!
